Senior Industry Fellow

“UEH100 - Program for Attracting Top-Tier Faculty and Researchers” is a strategic initiative of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) designed to attract outstanding global scholars, experts, and researchers to join UEH as Affiliated Academic Members. The program offers a comprehensive framework to foster meaningful academic engagement and long-term collaboration with distinguished academics beyond the traditional tenure-track structure.

Under this program, Senior Industry Fellow positions are open to senior industry leaders and executives with strong reputation and influence in the business community or international organizations. Senior Industry Fellows are expected to bring exceptional practical experience and proven ability to address complex management challenges, with a commitment to contributing to applied research and professional training at UEH.

Applicants for Senior Industry Fellow positions should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Master’s degree or higher, and/or
• Currently serve in a C-suite or equivalent senior leadership role (e.g., CEO, CFO, CTO, CMO) in multinational corporations, major listed companies, financial institutions, international organizations, NGOs, or public sector agencies.
• Have 10–15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or executive positions.

Key areas of collaboration include:

• Be physically present and work at UEH for at least three (3) months per year; the remaining period may be conducted online.
• Strengthen and expand UEH’s international collaboration network, acting as a key bridge to attract distinguished international scholars to work with UEH. This may include connecting UEH with additional partner universities, research institutes, international organizations, or experts through visiting appointments, research fellowships, or employment contracts.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic programs, including program accreditation and improving the quality of English-taught programs in line with international standards.
• Deliver specialized lectures and seminars and provide research mentoring to strengthen the link between academic knowledge and industry practice.
• Support to bridge theory and practice, particularly in emerging or evolving sectors.
• Support experiential learning, including study tours, industry-based projects, and applied research initiatives for students.
• Contribute to applied research outputs, including industry-focused studies and case development.
• Participate in the organization of international academic conferences at UEH and engage in seminars and academic activities with UEH’s schools, colleges, and institutes. Specific KPIs will be agreed upon annually.

• Performance-based honorarium: While no fixed monthly salary is provided, Senior Industry Fellows may receive remuneration from teaching, training, consulting, or research activities in accordance with UEH’s internal regulations.
• Professional collaboration environment: Opportunities to contribute to practice-oriented teaching, applied research, industry case development, and academic–industry partnerships at UEH.
• Institutional engagement: Access to UEH’s academic and professional networks, including faculty, researchers, students, and industry partners.
• Administrative coordination: Support for collaboration activities and academic engagement with relevant schools, institutes, and research groups within UEH.
