“UEH100 - Program for Attracting Top-Tier Faculty and Researchers” is a strategic initiative of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) designed to attract outstanding global scholars, experts, and researchers to join UEH as Affiliated Academic Members. The program offers a comprehensive framework to foster meaningful academic engagement and long-term collaboration with distinguished academics beyond the traditional tenure-track structure.
As an Adjunct Professor under the UEH100 Program, you are expected to engage in long-term collaboration and contribute to expanding UEH’s academic ecosystem. Your role goes beyond teaching to include multidimensional contributions, such as co-creating knowledge through research, higher education training, international publications and knowledge transfer.
Eligibility / Requirements
Applicants for Adjunct Professor positions should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a PhD degree.
- Currently work as academic staff at a reputable university (typically Top 500 globally or Top 200 in Asia according to rankings such as QS World University Rankings or Times Higher Education).
- Have a minimum 6 years of academic experience after completing the PhD.
- Demonstrate recognized academic reputation with a personal H-index of at least 5 (according to the Scopus database).
Collaboration Scope / Expected Outputs
Adjunct Professors at UEH are expected to contribute through the following activities:
- Be physically present and work at UEH for at least three (3) months per year; the remaining period may be conducted online.
- Strengthen and expand UEH’s international collaboration network, acting as a key bridge to attract distinguished international scholars to work with UEH. This may include connecting UEH with additional partner universities, research institutes, international organizations, or experts through visiting appointments, research fellowships, or employment contracts.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic programs, including program accreditation and improving the quality of English-taught programs in line with international standards.
- Deliver specialized courses or lectures, either on-site or online (during periods outside UEH), aligned with their areas of expertise, with priority given to Master’s and PhD programs.
- Supervise graduate students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers in theses, dissertations, and research projects, closely linked to the outputs of the research group.
- Contribute to research funding connections, including identifying, proposing, and implementing international research grants and funding opportunities. Specific KPIs will be agreed upon annually.
- Participate in the organization of international academic conferences at UEH and engage in seminars and academic activities with UEH’s schools, colleges, and institutes.

UEH provides a support package to facilitate Adjunct Professors’ academic engagement and collaboration:
- Fixed financial honorarium: Fixed stipend of USD 1,000–1,500 per month.
- Mobility and accommodation support: A round-trip standard economy-class airfare per year; hotel/serviced apartment in the city center provided by UEH during the visiting period.
- Administrative support: Full visa sponsorship and working permit assistance.
- Professional engagement: Opportunities to participate in academic seminars, research collaboration, and international conferences within UEH’s academic network.
